Bryttney-Mischele (She/They) is a surreal expressionist artist who uses visual, spoken, and collaborative expression to showcase Black Excellence through the lens of her lived experiences. In May 2020, she founded Poetic Artistry as a platform for transformative creativity that reimagines modern fine art while centering representation and social justice. Her work measures cultural complexities and challenges systemic inequities, with a vision rooted in empowering the BIPOC community.
Since then, Bryttney-Mischele has curated and exhibited in multiple shows across San Diego County, including her 2025 solo exhibition Too Much Art for One’s Soul at the Bonita Art and Cultural Center, a retrospective highlighting five years of her artistry. The show blended painting, spoken word, and film, while inviting community participation through interactive installations. She is also the creator of the Alter Her Ego portrait series, a vibrant exploration of layered identities, and the Black All Year Month series, an annual celebration of Black culture and poetic expression.
Beyond exhibitions, she has collaborated with organizations like the Arc of San Diego to design accessible art programs for adults with disabilities, as well as led youth-centered media arts camps, blending creativity, mindfulness, and storytelling. Her practice expands beyond the studio to classrooms, community centers, and public spaces—always with the goal of inspiring self-expression, healing, and confidence.
Through every project, Bryttney-Mischele remains committed to building environments where art not only reflects life but also sparks moments of change.
