Loss of Breonna Taylor
Breonna Taylor was shot to death on March 13, 2020; awhile asleep in her bed by Louisville, Kentucky Police Department. On May 16th, 2020 as I am completing this incredible piece portraying Breonna Taylor’s last photo; she has not received any justice. As I write this I think of what her family, boyfriend and friends are feeling. This loss comes in the middle of a nationwide pandemic, during a time in which Breonna Taylor was studying to be come an EMT. She lost her life to the people she would’ve been saving to too. There is absolutely no way to justify this shooting and we as Black woman in America deserve so much better than this. May Breonna Taylor rest in power.
