1619 Exhibit

The exhibit featured both visual and sculptural art; all in recognition of our 400yrs since out journey across the Atlantic. This was perhaps one my most transformative moments as an artist thus far. For the 1st time ever I was in a room surrounded by Black woman artist. As a young Black Feminist artist representation is important and never did I ever feel more represented then at this moment. Little did I know that these connections I made would develop into future collaborations.
